My oldest son works in a Pizzeria/Restaurant.  This is one of his favorite dishes.  We tried to replicate it at home.  It was delicious!  The entire family was so quiet at the dinner table!  They were too busy eating!  We make this often as it is a quick weeknight meal!  For the complete recipe, please visit http://luvcooking.net/chicken---broccoli.html

I asked my son what he wanted for dinner, and his answer was wonton soup!  So I went to the supermarket, found the ingredients, and started making it!  This dinner is very easy to make.  I made the wonton wrappers from scratch because my local supermarket did not carry them.  For a complete recipe, please visit http://luvcooking.net/wonton-soup.html

BANANA WALNUT MUFFINS

BANANA WALNUT MUFFINS

Last night, my son Tyler noticed we were out of muffins!  He decided to look on my website http://luvcooking.net/banana-walnut-muffins-1.html and make them himself!  He loves to eat them every morning.  He is not picky as to which muffin he eats, as long as it is warm and ready for him at 6:30am!  He chose the banana walnut because it was the easiest and we had all of the ingredients on hand!   I love when my boys are in the kitchen!

SOFT BOILED EGGS

SOFT BOILED EGGS

Last night my son and I were watching Master Chef Jr.  They had to make a soft boiled egg without using a timer.  This brought back memories of my mom making them for me.  This morning, I decided to make them for my son Jason.  He asked if I used a timer, and of course I said yes, why.  He told me that I cheated and when he gets home from school, he would make it himself without a timer.  That was the first thing he did when he came home, and of course his tasted much better!  He did it without a timer!  The picture above is his egg.  Perfectly cooked!  For a full recipe, please visit http://luvcooking.net/soft-boiled-egg.html

HALLOWEEN TREATS!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

CRISPY RICE TREATS!

Quick and easy!  Just melt 1 bag of marshmallows (10 oz) with 3 tablespoons of butter in a large pot.  Melt on low heat, as the marshmallows will burn quickly!  When completely melted, add 6 cups of krispy rice cereal.  Stir and pour into a greases pan spread and let cool.  Cut into squares and serve!  I added Halloween sprinkles to my cereal mix before I added it to the marshmallows.  It makes a festive treat!  Enjoy!

My son came home from school one day and was determined to make these cookies.  I wanted to call then Jason's chocolate chip cookies, but he didn't like that idea!  Cooking with your kids is a great feeling.  I have taught him to cook/bake, he made these all on his own and he is 10.  I am so happy that my love for cooking has empowered my children to get in the kitchen and try new things.  It is always a wonderful feeling when you create anything and you get  "wow that was great"!  He is very proud of these cookies and so am I!

Very excited that I have accomplished the homemade pizza!  If you follow my easy instructions, you will love this homemade dinner that is less expensive than going to the Pizza Parlor!  For about $5-$7, I fed a family of 4 with 2 pies!  That beats $30 any day for 2 pies!  The crust came out crispy and it was delicious!  For complete recipe, please visit http://luvcooking.net/pizza.html

October 4, 2013 - New blogging!

Today I spent a good part of the day updating my website, and starting this blog!  The beginning of the school year is always so busy!  I will try to update my website more frequently!  Today, I am going to conquer the homemade pizza!   My biggest problem has been the crust, so tonight is the night, it will come out crispy!  I will post pictures over the weekend.  I have also been thinking, my mom's crumb cake is so good, but what would happen if we added caramel and apples to it?  Well, stay tuned!  So that is on my agenda for the afternoon!  I better get at it, my pizza dough needs time to rise!  You can check out all my recipes at luvcooking.net
